Teaching Resources

Ideas for teachers from teachers participating in Gilmer Dairy Farm's Edopt-a-Cow program:

  • "No Fuss, No Muss" class pet

  • use the pedigree to help teach the students about their family trees

  • create a timeline marking a cow's birth, calving dates, and dry-off dates

  • create a chart and plot a graph of the cow's milk production

  • have students write business letters to Gilmer Dairy Farm

Please contact us if you are a teacher participating in this program and are willing to share your ideas.
